Which ever color is common for each 2-pin connector, is negative. Wire colors do vary from case to case.

Ah but that's for another post I suppose. Pin one for JFP1 is shown in the manual.

Incidentally it also resolved a previous complication I had with my on-board aurio driver. Any ideas are welcome. I suppose I could re-install XP-pro, but I am working from a fresh installation as it is. Well, no love from the Gateway site either.
